Warmworks

The organisation has an extensive and highly experienced network of sub-contractors who carry out energy saving measures such as loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, underfloor insulation, single glazed window replacement and more. With access to various contracts, Warmworks help homeowners and tenants access the grant and measures that best suit their circumstances and property improvement needs. Households, therefore, benefit from a one-stop, streamlined experience from the moment of their grant application to the completion of the work.

Warmworks also act as managing agents for the Scottish Government’s fuel poverty scheme. They project-manage the process from the initial assessment of the work to be carried out to the installation of energy efficient measures and final quality inspection.  The aim is to ensure installations meet health and safety standards.

Since its set up, more than 29,000 people have been helped through Warmworks to manage the cost of making their homes energy efficient while lowering their bills. Applicants must meet certain criteria to qualify, which you can find here.

Warmworks is also the managing agent for the Sustainable Warmth (Green Homes Grant), which helps owner-occupiers and tenants in private rental properties install energy saving measures. Successful applicants can get help to

• Insulate walls, lofts and underfloor spaces
• Install heat pumps
• Replace inefficient windows
• Instal thermostats and heating controls
• Insulate hot water tanks
• Instal energy efficient doors

To qualify, the home must have an energy efficiency rating of D, E, F or G. Warmworks will help to assess this.
